馬來天后汐蒂演繹那英的"征服"; 2012年9月,另一位馬來小天后汐拉在中國也以這首征服贏得在中國舉行的聲動亞洲冠軍。

The big news to Malaysian music circle in September 2012 is, of course, Shila's victory in the Asian Wave 2012 singing competition that held in Taiwan. She won the world title by out performing other finalists from China, South Korea, India, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia itself.

Beside a Malay song Gemilang, and an English song Grenade, she performed a Mandarin song, Zheng Fu (conquest) by Na Ying that finally led her to the glory of the event.

In fact, Shibe is not the first Malay singer who sing this Mandarin number; our Voice of Asia, Siti Nurhaliza has sang the song in Taiwan in 2005, lets recalling this master piece once again here.

Supplementary to that, there is a surprise, Siti sang a song by Teresa tang, the Moon Signifies my Heart, with Lee Hom.

Ya, Malaysian Cinema, thank you for reminding us of Siti Nurhaliza's interesting video. After watching the video, I can't help but do a little bit of research on her, and discover that, Siti is officially known as The Voice of Asia, the title given to her by MTV Asia due to her powerful voice and excellent achievement locally and internationally.

She has been honoured with several international recognitions, and that's included The Second Greatest Asian Artist by Channel V, The Second Best Musical Artist by MTV Asia, The Third Most Powerful Couple in Asia by E! News.

Other honor includes: Asia's Celine Dion by British press, Asia's Idol by Asia News Network and a lot more.

She also has won the first prize for many international singing competitions, among them are Gold Award in Shanghai Asia Music Festival 1999 in China; Best Vocalist in South Pacific Singing Competition in Australia; The Voice of Asia 2002 in Kazakhstan and few more.

We talk so much about Siti, simply because of the exciting news that, another Malay lady singer,Shila Amzah,after her recent victory in Shanghai Asian Wave Singing Competition, is rising before the world's eyes: A great Malaysian star is born.
