黃鸝在樹林里鳴囀，拖長的元音
是重音格律詩唯一的尺度。
但是每年只有一次，大自然
綿延和溢滿，如同在荷馬詩中。
這一天打著哈欠，如同詩中的停頓：
清晨起便是安謐和艱難的持續；
牧場上的牛，一種金色的慵懶，已不能
從蘆管里引出全部音調的豐富。
