娜塔那埃拉，你無法想像酣飲日光的後果！持久不斷的熱會帶來何等的肉體陶醉！橄欖枝橫在半空，山崗之上是沓遠的藍天。咖啡館門外傳來悠揚的笛聲。阿爾及爾顯得如此炎熱，充滿節日的歡樂，使我不得不想離開它三天。來到布麗塔，我發現那兒正值橙花怒放……
拂曉，我便出門散步；雖沒注視什麽，卻看清了一切。在我內心深處孕育和合成的那支交響樂並非來自我的聽覺，而是來自我的感覺。隨著時光的流逝，我的激動緩和了。
