縱是無言也動人
外婆18歲就嫁給了外公。之前，外婆曾有個心儀的男子，只不過，那個男子去當兵了，去之前，曾對外婆說，等我回來娶你。但外婆的父母是不等的。
外婆和外公結婚前從沒有見過面，兩個陌生人就這樣結了婚，然後一天天過日子。
所以，爭吵在所難免，又因為貧窮，他們幾乎是在吵嘴中度過了一天又一天，而外公，用得最多的是他的拳頭。
很小的時候，我常聽外婆提起那個當兵的人。那個男人，幾乎是她對愛情全部美好的想象，她對我說起過他的英俊、善良、多情，還有，他還會唱很多民歌給她聽，但最後，傳來的消息卻是讓人傷心的，有人說他已經陣亡，有人說他去了台灣，娶了一個有錢女人，不可能再回來娶她了。…
