四個甲午與台灣:
1834 英軍扣關虎門造成清的政治維新與後來的美國黑船事件扣關日本, 造成日本的明治維新.
1894年代表中國西化的北洋艦隊與日本革新後的海軍甲午戰爭正式交峰,同年孫中山在檀香山成立興中會.一個造成台灣日據50年,一個成立中華民國後來撤守台灣70年.
1954年中美簽訂中美共同防禦條約,使美的民主價值進入台灣及後來的杜魯門對共產主義圍堵政策,使台灣留學生可進入矽谷學習IC產業技術,造就台灣經濟奇蹟.
2014太陽花學運及柯P現象,台灣價值啟動有內涵的思維.
