郭沫若《百花詩》鳳凰花
我們是大喬木，原名本叫攀霞拿，（註）
種在澳門鳳凰山上故名鳳凰花。
幹和葉都像馬纓花而比他更大，
花滿枝頭，周年開放，高攀著雲霞。
花冠五瓣，面紅背黃，湊集在一團，
結成長條蒴果每超過一尺有半。
清晨迎風暢開，花落後色不雕殘，
你看，天上地下真個是緋紅一片！
（註）原文為Poinciana，此花在緬甸、印度、錫蘭等地多見，喬木開紅花，可與木棉相比。
