許地山《七寶池上的鄉思》荼
我常得著男子送給我的東西，總沒有當它們做寶貝看。我的朋友師松卻不如此，因為她從不曾受過男子的贈與。
自鳴鐘敲過四下以後，山上禮拜寺的聚會就完了。男男女女像出圈的羊，爭要下到山坡覓食一般。那邊有一個男學生跟著我們走，他的正名字我忘記了，我只記得人家都叫他做宗之。他手里拿著一枝荼，且行且嗅。荼本不是香花，他嗅著，不過是一種無聊舉動便了。
“松姑娘，這枝茶送給你。”他在我們後面嚷著。松姑娘回頭看見他滿臉堆著笑容遞著那花，就速速伸手去接。她接著說：“很多謝，很多謝。”宗之只笑著點點頭，隨即從西邊的山徑轉回家去。
“他給我這個，是什麽意思？”…

許地山《七寶池上的鄉思》花香霧氣中的夢
在覆茅塗泥的山居里，那阻不住的花香和霧氣從疏簾竄進來，直撲到一對夢人身上。妻子把丈夫搖醒，說：“快起罷，我們的被褥快濕透了。怪不得我總覺得冷，原來太陽被囚在濃霧的監獄里不能出來。”
那夢中的男子，心里自有他的溫暖，身外的冷與不冷他毫不介意。他沒有睜開眼睛便說：“哎呀，好香！許是你桌上的素馨露灑了罷？”
“哪里？你還在夢中哪。你且睜眼看簾外的光景。”
他果然揉了眼睛，擁著被坐起來，對妻子說：“怪不得我凈夢見一群女子在微雨中遊戲。若是你不叫醒我，我還要往下夢哪。”
妻子也擁著她的絨被坐起來說：“我也有夢。”…
