波德萊爾散文詩·沈醉吧
應該永遠地沈醉。這就是一切；這是惟一的問題。為了不感到時間那可怕的沈重，它壓斷了你的肩膀並把您向地下彎曲，您應該不停地沈醉。
醉於何物？美酒，詩歌，還是德性，隨便。但要沈醉。
如果有時在一座宮殿的臺階上，在溝壑的綠草上，在您房間的憂郁的孤獨中，您醒了，醉意減弱或消失了，那麽您去問風，問浪，問星，問鳥，問鐘，問所有逃逸的東西，問所有呻吟的東西，問所有滾動的東西，問所有歌唱的東西，問所有說話的東西，問問幾點了；風，浪，星，鳥，鐘會回答您：“是沈醉的時候了！為了不做時間的殉葬的奴隸，沈醉吧，不斷地沈醉吧！醉於美酒，詩歌，還是德性，隨您。”

波德萊爾散文詩·在淩晨一點鐘
終於一個人了！只聽得見幾輛遲歸的、疲憊的出租馬車在行駛。幾個小時內，如果不是休息的話，我們至少可以得到安靜。人臉的暴政終於消失了，我只因我自己而痛苦了。
終於，我可以沈浸在黑暗之中了！首先把鑰匙旋上兩圈。我覺得這一轉增加了我的孤獨，加固了把我和這世界分離的障礙。
