黃澤全《深度文化旅遊城市》麥加
伊斯蘭教第一聖城麥加，位於沙特阿拉伯西部賽拉特山地中段易卜拉欣涸河的峽谷中，四周群山環抱，氣候酷熱，水貴如油，距紅海之濱的吉達港70多公里，有公路通往沙特阿拉伯首都利雅得及穆罕默德陵墓所在地麥地那。
「麥加」在阿拉伯語中意為「吮吸」的意思，表明當地飲水困難，也有「聖城」之意。在中國古籍中有關麥加的記載很多，例如《嶺外代答》里稱其為默麻嘉，《西使記》中稱為天房，《明史》中稱為默伽、天方等。
伊斯蘭教創始人穆罕默德於公元570年誕生於麥加，並在這里建立和傳播伊斯蘭教，因遭到反對與迫害，於公元622年遷往麥地那，在麥地那把禮拜的方向朝向麥加，從此，世界各地的穆斯林都朝向麥加作禮拜。伊斯蘭教教規中規定，凡是有能力的穆斯林，一生中至少要到麥加朝覲一次。…
