賈平凹·平凹作畫記
在年紀不老的作家裏，我自詡我的毛筆字可入書品。但我確實沒有臨過帖，用鋼筆寫稿寫得多了，隨時又愛讀一些碑，別人要我在宣紙上寫，就寫出來了。原本是一場玩事，所以從不為難他人的求索，給他寫字不正好是練我的書法嗎？差不多是求我一幅字的總事先拿數張紙來，剩下的便白落，竟落下了幾大捆的便宜。有一日突發奇想：有這麽多紙，何不也作些畫呢？見過一些畫家是將墨大潑大塗的，於是也潑，也塗，怪暢美的。剛畫畢，恰好來了一位搞美術理論的先生，瞧我一嘴唇墨，問我幹什麽了？我說作畫了，小時候在寺廟裏看過畫匠騎在木架上畫檐頭，時不時將筆在口裏蘸唾沫，多半我作畫時也這麽不自覺地模仿了。就擦著嘴說，“小娃的屁股畫家的嘴”，當畫家就要敢不衛生呀！先生說要看畫，看，一拳卻把我擊倒了，大叫你小子是鬼狐附體！我可憐地說：“我可從沒受過訓練，壓根不懂技法。”意思是別以高標準來要求我。先生倒嚴肅起來，講了許多使我也吃驚的好話，我瞧他不是在戲弄我，我來勁了，我是個見不得鼓動的人，一時得意叫道：那我就畫呀！就畫起來了。…
