It is a proud day for academics at Boonton HIgh School! Comments (-1) Highland High School senior Emily Dunn has been selected as the Medina County Kiwanis Student of the Month for September. Emily is an excellent student and an avid member of Highland’s Marching Band. In addition, she participates in the school’s concert band, pit orchestra and is the sound technician for the school theatre productions. She is also involved with several HHS Congratulations to six Highland High School seniors who are among the 34,000 students to be named Commended Scholars in the Annual National Merit Scholarship Program. They are now eligible to become candidates for special scholarships provided by corporate and business sponsors. They include the following: Austin Addington, son of Jim and Shawna Addington of Sharon Township Maria Davis Congratulations to Highland senior Joey Grecenuk, who is a finalist in the 2022 competition for a corporate-sponsored Special Scholarship administered by National Merit® Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®). Joey is now included in a pool of high school award candidates based on his performance on the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). Congratulations to Highland High School senior Tess Gallaspie who has been selected as the Medina County Kiwanis Student of the Month for March. Tess is an excellent student, both academically and athletically. She is the co-captain of the Highland Girls Varsity Golf Team and is a member of the Varsity Swim Team. Additionally, she is first chair in the Sinfonia Orchestra and was a recent state On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the 280 members of the Montville Township High School Class of 2021 graduated. Senior Elliott Jo, President of the MTHS Class of 2021, was the first to speak before his peers. Highland High School is proud to announce that it has 6 National Merit Semifinalists for the 2021-22 school year. They were honored during a "Signing Day" program held on May 11 in the HHS Music unites, even in times when Distance Learning, due to COVID-19 and Social Distancing, separates students and teachers from classrooms and each other.
