林連玉佚詩〈吉隆八景詩〉
二．鄧苑尋芳
怡情有勝地，鄧苑辟江津。
曲徑隨溪轉，奇花映眼新。
林深藏猛虎，水澈見遊鱗。
休沐一瀏覽，胸襟消俗塵。
這是距離萬撓六公里的鄧普勒公園（Templer’s Park），與降真瀑布區相連。公園以1952-54年任職的英殖民政府欽差大臣鄧普勒將軍命名，園內本就是一座古老的叢林。1954年9月8日，雪蘭莪蘇丹宣布開設為一個自然生物的保護區與熱愛自然者的聚集地。至今茂林小溪、珍禽異卉，猶與林連玉詩中所題無二。“林深藏猛虎，水澈見遊鱗”為全詩詩眼，對仗工整。奇花遊鱗，水澈眼新，爽然怡情消塵；須知徑曲林深，疑藏猛虎。（摘自：林連玉基金網站 / 網照）
